A quick run-out to Uilenstede.
It's one of those places you see on your way to or from Amsterdam on the Beneluxbaan but never really venture into. There's a sport center there that belongs to the University and where the kids used to play indoor hockey back in the day, but beyond that there's not that much reason to go there. I found myself there the other week on account of the fact that one of the three UPS collection points in Amstelveen is here (it's the closest to the house) and while I was there I noticed that it's the sort of place that I would normally gravitate towards: desolate, a bit run down, empty at weekends (very important!), and with easy parking options. I went back a few days later with the Nikon Zf, and had a wonder about the place for an hour or so. Quite happy with the results, to be fair, so may need to go back there sometime.
Just goes to show that you never quite know what glory you can find in your own town if you don't take the effort to find it.
